Nathan (Adam's brother) and Shayla invited us to the Rodeo—a pre-qualifier something or rather....
The MC was WAY snarky; Shayla and I were hooting away at him. I hope to hear him again somewhere. It was nice to have an evening out watching grown men taking their chances on a bucking horse. Thanks for inviting us N&S!
Of course we had to take them to all the main (touristy) sites for their first time and all the best food. It was three quick days of total goodness with two people I love. Watch on YouTube for best quality.
Thursday: Pick up, tour the house, dinner at Cane Rosso—best pizza and dessert pizza. Tour the Airbnb and "compound."
Friday: Breakfast at Bread Winners—best chicken and waffles, Dallas Arboretum, cooled off while looking at houses, viewed the city from the Reunion Tower, drove the Grassy Knoll, and drove by the giant eyeball, Winspere Opera House, Klyde Warren Park. Dinner at Pecan Lodge. Dessert at Andy's Custard and Pass the Popcorn game.
Saturday: Breakfast at 7 Mile Cafe—everything is good there. Grapevine Vintage Railroad into the Stockyards at Fort Worth (were subject to a jewel heist mystery.) Saw long horns, visited a few shops and explored, watched the cattle drive down the main street. Road the train home, walked through the new train station. Dinner in Forth Worth at Rodeo Goat—best burgers. Drove past Bass Performance hall. Home to watched Gladiator II.
Sunday: Easter, Church, drawing game, Buc-ee's, they try pickled ocra, dinner at Whiskey Cake (candied bacon for mom!) Watched funny vids until time for bed.
Monday: Sad goodbye.
