First Bridal Fair

After quick decisions, preparing, and setbacks...Minelolly finally made it to its first Bridal Fair ever.

It took place in California, so a long distance booth set up was challenging, but I learned a lot! It became a family effort. Dad got me into the fair, Michael helped cut the logs, Mom let me use her stand, and Dwynne was my hero and handled everything we shot at her wonderfully—including manning the table. Thanks family!

Now, I have started working with a bride. So it's starting to pay off!

Racing Twinkies

In preparing for the pinewood derby (tonight) Adam has been running around getting things set up and ready...and someone gave him this idea for treats. And though they will be devoured in less than a minute—they'll be fun while they last! They didn't take that long to make either.

Fun with those mongo wheels huh? I think next time (if there is a next time) I will put the stripes all the way down the front and back of the twinkie, that will look better don't you think?

Colors of Magic

Every blogger in Texas must have posted snow pictures by now. And so, I follow the trend. Friday, we awoke to the bite of winter...and I stepped out, soaking my pajamas on the wet balcony, to capture the quiet magic before the sun came out. This is the only time I ever enjoy snow.

When it's clean, silent, and uninterrupted.

Someone special visited us during lunch. One little bird, extremely visible among the black and white in his happy color. He was gorgeous. Adam and I both took pause and watched. Mmmagic.
