Our Second Anniversary

Guess what we did on our anniversary? Packing and cleaning. At least it was memorable! Happy Anniversary Adam.

Nat and Mo

I've added Nat and Mo's new blog to my blog list.

Adam has Graduated!

Adam received his bachelor's degree in construction management and we're off to Dallas Texas where he has received a generous job offer and will probably enroll in an MBA program. Things will be changing for this little family forever!

Adam walked in the Provo Tabernacle. Thank you for the lei Larissa and Dayne. (Sorry for the blur. We had front row seats, but the lighting wasn't great so all my photos of him actually receiving the diploma are blurry.)

Professors and Deans from Adam's college. This is the stage he walked across. No seats were bad. As the graduates entered, they circled the entire room before sitting in the balcony behind the congregation. As they walked up to receive their diploma, again they circled the audience. So we all got a close-up.

Adam's best friend, Lee came from Las Vegas to be with us.

Temple Square

I think every family who has a graduate from BYU takes a trip to Temple Square. And so, in following suit so did we. I've been there several times but size of the temple never ceases to amaze me. This trip was particularly interesting for me because I have been designing two historical books about Salt Lake and Temple square. It was nice to see the things I've read about in relation to one another.
My ode and farewell to Deseret Book. I couldn't resist taking these photos. (Flowers and granite—a running theme for the Conference Catalog, and quite the headache for us as designers . . . don't ask.)

Tulip Festival: Thanksgiving Point

Adam's family is in town so we visited the gardens at Thanksgiving point (55 acres). This week and into the next is the Tulip Festival with over 250,000 tulips and 95 varieties. Because weather has been cold, many have not bloomed. So if you are thinking about going . . . GO! You'll catch them right on time ($10 per person).

Lailani and everyone. Seems to me a baby is perfect to bring on vacations. You won't get bored and there's always something to photograph!

Zuki's Blessing Day

Zuki received her baby blessing this Saturday so family could be there. Mo called Africa and his mother was able to hear the blessing on speaker phone. Here are some shots we took afterward. Zuki was pretty much out-of-it the whole time. She's a good baby and calm when she's wide awake.

My parents have decided they want to be called "Grandmama, and Papa."

Here are some better photos of little Zukiswa (I'm still not sure I spelled it right. Can't find the email with her full name in it . . .). I'm going to see her next weekend. Unfortunately Adam can't make it. He's got finals those days. Big bummer. (My mom hasn't even been to see her yet, she must be dying!)
So, I hope to help Natalie get a blog started and I'll post a link in this blog to theirs once she does—then I'll let her do all the posting of Zuki, khee hee.

Welcome Zuki!

Natalie sent pictures of their new addition. Her name is Zuki (short for something but I'll have to get Natalie to spell it.) Isn't she adorable?! I think I'm going to like being an aunt, especially to this little bug. Congratulations Natalie and Mo!

Natalie Had Her Baby!

She was born during morning conference session. 6 lbs 13 oz, 19 inches, black curly hair. Nat was in labor for three hours, both girls are doing fine. I'll post more later. We haven't received our phone call yet :)
