Family Feud

With so many people in Adam's family, laser tag is a BLAST!!! No really, a BLAST. (If it weren't so expensive, I could totally get into this game, and get nerdy about it.)

Hat Luncheon

Heidi, my sister-in-law, planned a special hat luncheon for all the girls over Thanksgiving. Everyone wore a vintage hat. Fun!

The lunch was catered, looked gorgeous and tasted delish.

Top it all off with a lovely, jewel themed table setting—because we girlies are all jewels.

I know Heidi put a lot of time (and money) into this. So thanks Heidi (and Travis)! Thanks for honoring us and for giving us such a wonderful memory!

Moon Marble

Last year, Adam and I ran into this fun little store. So, while in Kansas over Thanksgiving, the whole family visited Moon Marble. They carry all sorts of games, modern and retro and also toys of the same sort. I must admit, I was most interested in the packaging. Especially the vintage games they had on display. (They even had vintage tin robots I might consider for a purchase sometime in the future.)

Located in the back of the store is a studio where marble making demonstrations take place. At the beginning we watched a short clip similar to this one (click here). And then met the owner who kindly created a marble with moons all over it just for us.

I never got to see the marble close up but you can kind of tell what it looks like from this photo below. Dad Moon purchased the marble where I am sure it proudly sits in the Moon household.

Music Marathon

Just as he did last year, Adam entered the Rock'n Roll half marathon—only this year he actually trained for it. (Lost some weight too. I am proud of him.) His goal was to beat 2 hours and 20 minutes—he made it across the finish line at 2:16:19. So he was quite pleased! (Click here for a video of him crossing the finish line. Below, Adam and his work buddy (Adam's project manager) went together. Adam got a camera for his birthday this year so he took pictures for you all to see! Yay!
Adam said while he was running he went right past the Alamo and didn't even look. Talk about focus. Below is the medal Adam would like to frame and display. . . .
Next are all the booths for the runners' perusing and money spending pleasure. (There were 35,000 runners this year.) After the run they returned here to watch a concert.

And yes, he's going to do it again. Watch out, he'll probably try and recruit you!
