Aren’t babies the best? They’re sweet, cuddly, soft, and when they’re small they don’t care who you are—they let you hold them and give you a smile if you’re willing to be a little silly. The reason for our trip to California in June was to meet Michael and Hayden’s daughter, Irie. We snuggled her every single night and it was wonderful.
One evening there was a discussion over how much Irie looks like baby Anna. So Mom pulled out the photo albums.
Baby Anna.
Baby Irie. I admit, we do look like we’re family! She’s my chin twin.
Baths in the sink are always a good time. Girl, you gave my arm a workout!
And of course it's always special to see how my parents love and enjoy their grandchildren. While in town Hayden had requested we do a little photo session with Irie. She brought a few outfits and we spent the afternoon learning what it’s like to take pictures of a baby—not easy. We got some mandatory close up shots of fingers, toes and belly buttons. And enjoyed all the little faces she put on show for us.
