Trikes Around Cozumel 2018

As part of our cruise last spring we took a memorable excursion around the island of Cozumel! I discovered a trike tour via Trip Advisor so we toured over half the island staying on the roads lining the beach. Half way through the day it rained on us and I’m glad, it was fun and scary—so this lady thrill seeker was VERY HAPPY! Too bad I didn’t get a photo of my face when we stopped for lunch...it LOOKED like a storm had hit it (imagine black mascara EVERYWHERE.) What fun! (Except the black flecks all up in my eyeballs.) The food was good, the tour guides were nice, and the trikes were EASY and fun to drive.

Christmas 2018 in Texas

We decided to have our own Christmas after getting back from Mom and Dad’s house. It was lovely. Pajamas, a fake fire, some Christmas music and just the two of us.

I'd worn a pirate hat on the plane home from Disneyland and was able to keep it secret from Adam until Christmas. This pretty much solidifies his Halloween costume in the near future. Along with that I gave a pirate coin too. It’s legit. You do know that Adam has a man crush on Johnny Depp, esp as Captain Jack Sparrow. You DON'T want to know how many times those movies play at our house.

To my surprise Adam had played the investigator and found out there was only ONE souvenir I'd liked at Disneyland but had put back on the shelf (so expensive.) So he purchased TWO of them online—Mary Poppins mugs.
They are SO detailed and cute. I love the pink inside, the feet on the bottom, and the parrot handle. It’s so fun to hold and drink out of. It was put to good use too. I had caught laryngitis in California, then two more cold like ailments hit me one right after the other. I was pretty miserable for a while. So, all the lemons on my tree went to making hot lemon and honey tea for several weeks.
So that’s the story in case these turn into heirlooms.

Of course there were other gifts from friends and family and we enjoyed the day.

Out With Friends Christmas 2018

Where did we go?! Mas Taco Bar at the Palladio? Oh, I can’t recall. But the flavors and the good company I do. It was great, and I’d go back.

These two try new restaurants all the time. Oh how I wish I could join them more often than once a year. But at least their experimentation guarantees a great dining selection when I come into town. Yay!

We then busted through the doors into the donut shop where ice-cream gets stuffed into the center of a warm donut. I chose the BEST flavor. Taro Coconut (the plant is purple inside) and condensed milk. Have you ever wondered what purple tastes like? Not weird, not exotic, just yummy. Please let me have it again sometime in my life.

 Then off to see Christmas lights as we do most years. This time Olaf was walking up and down the street. Talk about upping their game. Sheesh! Though I must admit, if I lived on said street...I’d probably be doing my best to keep up with these Joneses SOMEHOW. Toss candy at cars? Open a hot chocolate booth? Rent a snow machine???
