They arrived! First off, Hayden wanted to have her favorite hamburger from Rodeo Goat, the Sugar Burger. We jumped in the car and raced to the Dallas location and got there just before the kitchen closed.
Before leaving we played a little game of...Goat Ring? Swing the ring and hope it hooks. The next morning I took them over to a little spot my dentist told me about...First Watch Cafe.
The waiter heard we were new patrons, so in addition to our spiced pear drink, he brought other drink samples for us to try. Go him. Better tip.
Breakfast was good too. I like this place. They use fresh ingredients and the food is good with some delicious healthy options. My birthday is coming up and they have gift cards. Just saying.
After breakfast we went for another session at King Spa!
Adam won't go down this slide, it makes him dizzy. Ha!
Below: the oxygen room, kept at a comfortable napping temperature.
Below: the ice room, NOT kept at a comfortable temperature.
Below: the salt room. Very hot. Very salty. Don't lick the walls.
Below: The Infrared room. Stick your feet under the lights and become revitalized...in your feet anyway.
Below: Michael exiting the sudatorium. The hottest room. You'll sweat in less than two minutes, and you'll be surprised how quickly you get drenched. Michael stayed in so long we began to worry.
After that we tidied ourselves up as best we could...and went to a donut place in Deep Elum Dallas. This donut shop opens at 10:00 pm to feed the night life that inhabits the streets. (Boy did we feel under dressed. And WOW was Elum BUSY! We saw some fancy people, fancy cars, and rad motor bikes "out on the town.")
The donuts were great! There's a creme brûlée donut shown below. It had the fired sugar on top with the appropriate crack and crunch on the outside with sweet creme inside. It was delicious. The donuts were MUCH better than I remember (I think they were more fresh this time.) We'll have to go back...but not without my heels! LOL.
